It's still Christmas in Beijing

The festive season prevails.... We had dinner in a Thai restaurant near the Friendship store where Christmas carols played on in the background, and the place was all decked out for Christmas, including a tree. The large department store across from our hotel has a neon Christmas display which reads "Season's Greetings" and the hotels are also decorated for December 25th....which seems to welcome in Chinese New Year.

In a magazine in our hotel, Christmas events are advertised and other "Winter Promotions" such as this (for the Jianguo Hotel):
"This winter will no longer be chilled because of us. To free yourselves from the wintry air, come in and take a sip of our tasty hot drinks."
